The Public Health Engineering has two aspects viz., Water Supply Engineering and Sanitary Engineering. The WaterSupply Engineering deals with the procurement of water, its purification and distribution to the public. The SanitaryEngineering deals with the collection, conveyance, treatment and disposal of the sewage or wastewater as well as solidwastes. The subject of Water Supply Engineering has been dealt with in the author’s book entitled ‘Water SupplyEngineering”.
